Make Jamaica your next getaway

While its name evokes a tropical island setting, in this case, it couldn’t be further from the truth for the town of Jamaica, Vermont. Meaning “beaver” in the Algonquin native language from which it was named, this quaint Southern Vermont hamlet doesn’t offer any palm trees or sandy shores, but what it does offer is no less compelling: an all-seasons destination far from crowds but close to limitless outdoor recreation in the Green Mountains.

The area was quiet and the house was clean.

Great location, very close to Stratton Mountain. The house is older/ looks outdated but it’s spacious, comfortable, and has everything you need.
Meredith M. | Oct 2024
Overall the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The back deck was so peaceful to sit and relax. However the gas fireplace did not work, no dishwasher soap was provided and the water pressure in the shower was slightly more than a trickle.
