How do Vacasa star ratings work?

After check-out, guests have the option to rate their experience in a Vacasa home on a scale from 1 to 5 stars, as well as provide a written review.

What are Vacasa ratings based on?

A Vacasa home’s star rating is the average of all overall ratings provided by guests. In addition to providing an overall rating score, guests have the option to give separate star ratings for these categories, which do not impact a home’s overall star rating:

  • Cleanliness: Were you satisfied with the cleanliness of the property?
  • Property condition: What’s the quality of the home’s amenities, furnishings, maintenance, etc.?
  • Service: Was our staff helpful throughout your stay?

Who can leave a star rating on Vacasa.com?

Guests who book directly with Vacasa—or through Booking.com and Vrbo—can leave star ratings on Vacasa.com.

How long do guests have to leave a star rating on Vacasa?

Guests have up to 30 days after check-out to leave a rating or review on Vacasa.com.

Where can guests see a vacation home’s star rating?

The star rating is displayed prominently underneath a property’s name on a Vacasa listing.
