If you are looking to stay in Seattle, look no further than this priceless property. The location is perfect. A few short blocks from both the Space Needle and Pikes Place Market, it makes it easy to take in everything this wonderful city has to offer. You’ll be greeted upon arrival by a wonderful host and given access to the private and secure building. Should you have a car, there’s a spot right by the door for a single car behind a gate so you won’t have to worry. The unit itself is clean and spacious. With two large bedrooms and bathrooms. There’s a lovely view over the courtyard from a private small balcony off the living space. And an even better view steps from the front door to a much larger, shared balcony overlooking the water. Perfect for enjoying sunset or sunrise with a snack or drinks. There’s also a nice sized gym, as well as an indoor pool and hot tub for guest use. The apartment has everything you could need. Kitchen is fully stocked. Our host even showed us where we could find extra laundry pods should we need them to take advantage of the amazing washer and dryer, which we graciously did throughout our week long stay. The Vacasa team was amazing. They answered all of our questions right away. When we booked this unit, we had no idea it was going to be even better than we thought. But now that we’ve stayed here, there’s nowhere else we’d rather be. It was a truly wonderful experience that we hope to repeat again many times in the future. Thank you so much to Ashley, our wonderful host as well as the entire Vacasa staff. You made this trip an exceptional experience that we will never forget. We are extremely grateful to your preparation and thoughtfulness. And couldn’t recommend this property more to anyone looking to stay in the best location Seattle has to offer. Much love from Andrea, Ashley and Scottie.

Seattle neighborhoods

While tourist-friendly downtown Seattle is certainly filled with its share of attractions, Seattle's neighborhoods are packed with their own charms and points of interest. Just northwest of all the hustle and bustle, the scenic neighborhood of Queen Anne is up high on a hill and offers amazing, panoramic views of Seattle, while still only a 20-minute walk from attractions like the Space Needle.

Up-and-coming Belltown sits between Lower Queen Anne to the north and downtown to the south, and is full of shops, restaurants, and home to Sub Pop Records world headquarters. To the north and northeast are the neighborhoods of South Lake Union and Capitol Hill - both offering a different view of Seattle, from serene lake views and green spaces to late-hour entertainment and nightlife. Further north, you'll find the family-friendly neighborhood of Green Lake, right next to the Woodland Park Zoo. Seattle is often called a "city of neighborhoods," and with a visit to this eclectic destination, you'll see why!

Things to do in Seattle

When you visualize Seattle, you probably think about riding the monorail, rainy days, and sipping good, strong coffee - Seattle certainly has all of those things, but there's also the EMP Museum and the Chihuly Garden at the Seattle Center, the waterfront Ferris wheel, or even just people-watching in Pioneer Square.

View the exhibits at the Seattle Art Museum and the Asian Art Museum, or spend an afternoon strolling through unique shops, galleries, and yes, watching the fish mongers throw seafood around at Pike Place Market!

Restaurants in Seattle

When you work up an appetite, Seattle has hundreds of dining options. From the Dahlia Lounge right downtown (be sure to end your meal with the made-to-order doughnuts) to a neighborhood snack spot like Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery in Ballard. Of course, since you'll have a kitchen back at your Seattle getaway, you could always pick up some salmon before heading back and preparing a feast later in your fully-equipped vacation home's kitchen.

Outdoor activities in Seattle

When it comes to outdoor activities, the Pacific Northwest has an abundance of choices, and Seattle is no exception. Aside from urban hikes, just a 30-minute drive will put you at a number of gorgeous trails including the Cedar River Trail, Evans Creek Preserve, and Soaring Eagle Regional Park. Seattle is one of the most bike-friendly cities on the West Coast. And, if you like fishing, you can sign up for a Puget Sound fishing charter and maybe even catch your own dinner!

Day trips from Seattle

In the northwest corner of Washington state, Seattle is well located for a number of day trips. Hop on a Washington State Ferry to the Olympic Peninsula to wander around the Victorian-style town of Port Townsend, take a whale watching excursion in Puget Sound, or visit nearby Whidbey Island. The gorgeous San Juan Islands are a bit further away, but an easy day trip from Seattle - you can head out early in the morning, wander around Eastsound or Orcas Island, and be back in your cozy bed by nightfall in your very own vacation rental.

One thing is sure: with a stay in one of our Seattle vacation rentals, you'll discover all that this amazing city has to offer.
