Since we sold our home at Sugarloaf, we rent a property with friends for a long weekend every spring. While this house was large and provided the basics, it does not have the same quality as other properties we rented, though it was more expensive. At first look, it appears to be beautiful, and it is, but the construction is low quality and we had a few problems with our stay. One was that the gas fireplace never worked. Although I reached out to management several times and was assured that someone would arrive to fix the problem, and even left access open to the house for them while we were skiing, in the three days we were there no one ever appeared. After we were offered $20/night (off a $1000/night rental) refund for the inconvenience. A piece of the faux stone hearth, very high near the ceiling, actually fell off one night with no warning and hit a guest staying in a chair nearby in the head. It was not heavy and did not cause injury, but scared all of us. It seems the glue or whatever was used to secure it simply let go. Even though the fireplace, of course was not running. It’s true what other reviewers have said, there is little to nothing in the pantry so bring your own Oil, spices, and anything you may need for cooking, except for the basic pots and pans that are provided. There was not, however, a baking sheet. There is no hairdryer, and when I requested one, was told it was not an amenity they would provide. I’ve never stayed at a hotel, even for far less money, that did not at least provide a hairdryer. Also the upstairs ice maker did not work but it was minor and since we had poor luck with the fireplace request, we let it go. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The home is in a beautiful location on the Shuttle route and has a hot tub. The hot tub is very difficult and dangerous to enter an exit, however, particularly in the winter with snow and ice. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and well equipped, and towels are provided even for the hot tub. We did appreciate that.

We had a great stay in March for spring skiing! The location of the condo is great, and we had plenty of space for our family. Easy ski in/ski out, and we loved having our dog with us on the mountain, too.
