Make Green Lake your next getaway

Choosing a favorite Seattle neighborhood is like choosing a favorite child. Do you go with exciting, young Capitol Hill or up-and-coming Belltown? Or maybe you go in an entirely different direction altogether and choose Queen Anne for its elegance, sophistication, and postcard-worthy views of the Space Needle, downtown buildings, and sometimes (only on very clear days), snow-capped Mount Rainier in the distance.

We rented this house for UW patent weekend. It was the perfect location, quiet, lovely neighborhood convenient to campus. We actually walked to the stadium to avoid traffic and parking hassles. The house is bigger than it appears and had everything we needed. Thank you for a great weekend!

We heard great things about the size and quality of the house. So happy it was a hit!

If you prefer ditching the bars and downtown buildings of the city for a smaller, more youthful neighborhood, our selection of family-friendly Green Lake vacation rentals could be perfect for you!

Where is Green Lake, Seattle, WA?

Located to the north of the Wallingford neighborhood and to the west of Phinney Ridge, home of the Woodland Park Zoo, Green Lake is a haven for families, bicyclists, and Seattle natives. Whether you want to bike around the lake, catch a play at the local community center, or try a delicious, underrated restaurant, a stay in one of our Green Lake vacation condos will give you a little local taste of the city.

Appealing to the young at heart, Green Lake is the perfect home base if you prefer rollerblading to barhopping, fresh-roasted coffee to martinis, and farmers markets to crowded tourist attractions. Above all else, our family-friendly Seattle vacation rentals are the perfect place to stay if you're traveling with kids, and the lake itself is the main attraction!

Things to Do in Green Lake

Boasting a 2.8-mile track, around which outdoor enthusiasts can be found at all hours of the day jogging, rollerblading, and biking, Green Lake is the best way to get outdoors in Seattle. Watch the kids giggle and point at the waterfowl as you stroll along the banks of the lake and marvel at the modern miracle that is the paddleboat - the perfect way to spend a sunny Seattle day! You can also watch rowers and kayakers on the lake (active in the warmer months), and hopefully catch one of Green Lake Crew's exciting regattas.

Though nightlife is sparse in the neighborhood near our Green Lake condo rentals, don't discount the fun that is to be had in a few, time-honored establishments! Whether you choose to catch a live band play on Fridays at the Latona Pub or you'd rather try your hand at country line dancing at The Little Red Hen, these Seattle establishments will give you the quintessential experience.

Have a fun day out on the (mini) green! Green Lake Pitch n' Putt is great for mini-golf dates and practicing your luck at the batting cages. Afterwards, get lost in the up-and-coming Tangletown area, meandering through the maze of city streets in search of Mighty O doughnuts or the world-famous happy hour at Elysian brewery's Tangletown location.

When it gets drizzly outside as is bound to happen every once in awhile (don't worry - it's all part of the Seattle experience), you'll love stopping by the local library branch or catching a play at Seattle Public Theater at the Bathhouse, right on the lake.

Whether you time how fast you can run the lake loop or rent a paddleboat with the kids, the possibilities are endless when you choose one of our Green Lake vacation rentals for your next trip to the Emerald City.
