Recent Koloa vacation rental reviews

Fantastic location and views. The Lawai Beach area is well known to us, but we had not stayed at Kuhio Shores before. We had previously admired the look and location of the building and so decided to book here. We were not disappointed. As noted by others, we saw sea turtles every day feeding off the rocks, and a sand shark surfaced in the water just below our lanai. We watched snorkelers in the bay, and enjoyed the wonderful sea breezes. This unit experiences great sunrises in the morning, but nicely cools off as the sun moves to the opposite side of the building allowing cool, restful sleeps. We did not require the A/C but it is fully functional if you find it necessary. The sound of the waves splashing on the shore aids in a good rest. Shops are close by within easy walking distance for young and old and the shopping precinct has anything you may need to start your holiday with good restaurants if you choose to dine out. Other grocery stores are just a short drive away (Koloa for example). The unit is spacious, and has all the amenities you will ever need if you decide to prepare your own meals instead of eating out. The bed was very comfortable. Loads of towels supplied, and coin laundry on every floor in case you travel light. Boogie boards, folding beach chairs and a cooler were on the lanai for us to use. A great price at a great location. November 2024. W and M, Canada

Simply stunning views, close to everything you want or need in Kauai and next door to the Beach House restaurant. Loved being able to watch sunrise & sunset as well as the seals doing their thing in the water visible from the lanai.

This was a perfect location to see the entire island without moving. Off the beaten path but easy to get around.

Sure, there’s so much to love about bustling destinations like Honolulu and Lahaina. But if you want to really get away from it all, consider booking a peaceful Koloa vacation rental, where you can still find plenty of things to keep you busy. Visit the peaceful beaches of Keoneloa Bay, where archaeologists discovered some of the island’s oldest occupied sites that date as far back as 600 BC. Today, Keoneloa Bay offers pristine beaches where you can dig your toes into the soft sand, explore the coastline, or even plan a romantic Hawaiian beach wedding.

Our Koloa vacation rentals are just minutes from Allerton Garden, an 80-acre botanical garden overlooking the ocean. Spend an afternoon meandering through the sprawling grounds, past incredible towering trees and beautiful flora. The gardens made the list of National Geographic Traveler’s 50 Places of a Lifetime—so be sure to stop by on your Kauai getaway.

Experience the power of the ocean at Spouting Horn, one of Kauai’s most-photographed places. Here, the ocean waves rush into an underwater lava tube, creating an incredible water spout that reaches as high as 50 feet. Adrenaline junkies will love an exhilarating day at Koloa Zipline, the longest zipline course on the island. And of course, Old Koloa Town is a must-see for any traveler to our Koloa vacation rentals. Explore the beautiful eucalyptus tree-lined streets as you indulge in a Lappert’s island-style ice cream cone. Old Koloa Town is the perfect place for finding locally owned shops and restaurants on your Kauai vacation.

There are so many ways to enjoy your time in beautiful Koloa, whether you choose to stick close to your home away from home, or make the drive to Kauai’s amazing attractions, like the stunning Nā Pali Coast, and so much more. Find your perfect island retreat—choose your Koloa vacation rental today and start planning.
