Place was great and price was right.Definitely be coming back!

For what is needed to have a lovely getaway at the lake, this place is more than fine. Although it is not a luxury destination, it offers a lot and with the right expectations there's no reason why you won't be fully satisfied with the experience. We appreciated the multiple sleep arrangement options, the layout of the unit, the comfy couch and large dining table. We were really grateful for the snow plowing they provided during the storm to clear walkway and our car, and the quick text support when we had questions. I'd recommend bringing extra blankets if you are coming in winter, and perhaps your own pillows as well. Be aware that the kitchen is mostly supplied with Teflon coated cookware and black plastic cooking utensils, so if you're trying to steer clear of those you'll need to bring your own. There isn't much in the way of kitchen towels but plenty of bath towels can help fill this gap. Last tips are to be sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner etc. and a hairdryer if needed - none were provided.

Loved the homey feel of this condo. Good sized deck. They have a game table which we truly appreciated.

Where is Huntington Lake?

Huntington Lake is tucked away in the Sierra National Forest, 72 miles northeast of Fresno, 113 miles from the Valley in Yosemite National Park, and 22 miles from the small mountain resort village of Shaver Lake.

Things to do at Huntington Lake

Known as one of California's primary sailing lakes, Huntington Lake is surrounded by mountains and boasts several marinas that offer rentals, mooring, and launching facilities. Kiteboarders can also take advantage of the lake's ideal wind conditions, while anglers flock here for trout and Kokanee salmon.

The network of trails around Huntington Lake is prime for trekking through trees to backcountry lakes alongside majestic granite peaks and stunning scenery. Whether on foot or on horseback (guided services are available), weave your way through this gorgeous wilderness looking for wildlife, and relax to the soothing sounds of nature. If you're in the mood for a picnic, the north side of the lake is the place to go!

While biking on the designated wilderness trails may not be allowed, bikers often make the challenging climb on the paved forest access roads to gaze out at beautiful mountain and valley views on the way.

In the winter, Huntington Lake's Sno-Park areas provide fun-filled days of tubing and sledding, while nearby China Peak Resort offers slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
