Where can you stay in Northern Arizona?

Flagstaff is the hub of this mountainous region, serving as the unofficial gateway to the Grand Canyon National Park about 75 miles north. A Flagstaff vacation rental is an excellent home base for anyone checking the Grand Canyon off their bucket list. Sedona is an easy day trip from Flagstaff, just 30 miles down the highway. Payson is another commonly visited town in Northern Arizona, an easy mountain retreat from Scottsdale, which sits about 70 miles to the southwest.

Things to do in Northern Arizona

Here to see the Grand Canyon? It’s an easy day trip from your Flagstaff rental (and a scenic car ride, too). Pack a lunch and a camera, and be prepared for one of America’s most awe-inspiring views. The picturesque Antelope Canyon is about 115 miles to the north, a once-in-a-lifetime sight that rewards those willing to go a bit out of their way.

Flagstaff is a destination in its own right, too - peruse the town’s cool boutiques and artisan cafes for a taste of this college town’s hippie spirit. Sedona is a popular destination, too: its famous red rock formations and local mysticism draw visitors from all over the world. The area is rich with national forests begging to be explored, so don’t forget your hiking boots.

In an area teeming with natural wonders, it might be difficult to decide what to see. Booking a Northern Arizona vacation home is a great first step.
