We loved the River Mountain Lodge. Location is excellent and staff is very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in leaves much to be desired. It’s on the first floor, right off the lobby, and windows are directly onto the sidewalk/driveway. There was no way we could keep the curtains open without anyone on the sidewalk looking in so we had a very dark stay. Half window coverings that allow light in but also create privacy would possibly solve this problem. Additionally, the mattress seems quite old and has lost all structure. It’s a long bed, but my husband and I (both fit) kept rolling into each other through the night. All in all, we would stay at River Mountain Lodge again but pick a different room.

This was a great hotel. Please note you will be booking through Vacasa and not the hotel and therefore you will have to check in and check out at another location. Service was great and I throughly enjoyed my stay.
