Recent Southern Oregon vacation rental reviews

We love the house but when we got there we couldn’t get the furnace to work properly! It would run for 10 seconds then turn off! After a few hours with no success we called the emergency Vacasa number and told them of the problem! I finally turned off the breaker and back on and it started working! The person we talked to said he was putting in an emergency ticket to get us help! After 3 nights no one reached out to us! I am really disappointed it that! Luckily we figured it out or it would have been a cold 3 nights! I was sure a host would call but no!

This unit was very clean and well provisioned. The kids' corner was wonderful for our 6-year-old granddaughter. We wish the description of the unit was more clear that it is a two-room unit (kitchen/dining room and living room/bedroom, rather than listed as a true one-bedroom unit. All four people that can be accommodated would sleep in one room.

The Southern Oregon Coast

Small towns with plenty of character dot the Southern Oregon Coast. Our Oregon Coast vacation rentals offer guests a rugged beach vacation filled with fun coastal activities.

Hike or ride your ATVs around the Reedsport dunes. Go crabbing and inland hiking in Charleston. Shop in Old Town Bandon for local art and chocolates, and play a few rounds at the famous Bandon Dunes Golf Course.

Outdoor recreation in Southern Oregon

Outdoor enthusiasts will never lack for something to do. Go spelunking in the Oregon Caves National Monument with its 15,000 feet of marble passages. Spend a day at Crater Lake, one of the bluest lakes in the world and surrounded by majestic sheer cliffs. Whitewater raft along the Rogue River, a wildly popular rafting destination.

Southern Oregon Wine Country

Home to many award-winning wines, the Rogue and Applegate Valleys of Southern Oregon Wine Country boast many family-owned wineries that produce excellent Merlots, Syrahs, Chardonnays, and myriad other types of wine. While you're in the area, take a wine tour and see what all the fuss is about, or stop for a tasting at a winery near your home base. Businesses like Wonders of Wine and Wine Hoppers offer tours tailored to your group's needs, guides who are knowledgeable about the region's wine offering, and depart from several Southern Oregon towns. Some even combine wine tours with hiking, fishing, and other activities.

Pay attention to which wineries also offer food; many have excellent kitchens whose food you will not want to miss. Do a bit of research before deciding what wineries to visit; some, like Wild Wines, depart a bit from the norm and offer wines made from flowers, fruits, and berries that are unlike wines you've tried elsewhere. If some people in your group like other beverages, consider visiting one of the celebrated local microbreweries as well.

Ashland, OR

No trip to Southern Oregon would be complete without a visit to Ashland for the acclaimed Oregon Shakespeare Festival. With three stages and a season that stretches from February through early November, you're sure to find a show that's to your taste. With a focus on Shakespeare but a commitment to showcasing the best and most modern pieces, theatre-lovers will want to come back again and again.

The town of Ashland is charming and quaint. In keeping with the Shakespearean theme, pubs like the Black Sheep and Oberon's Tavern offer surprisingly delicious cuisine, keeping up with their less-literary neighbors. Spend a day wandering the main drag and exploring the little shops and open-air markets.

Whether you're in the area because you love literature, wine, or outdoor adventures, you'll be glad you chose our Southern Oregon vacation rentals for your trip.
