Wonderful home and incredible views!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we really enjoyed our visit. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, it is a short drive to Langley or Freeland, and the view from the living room / patio is stunning. It is the perfect cozy getaway. Do recommend!

Great view and very unique architectural layout that worked very well. We would return to this rental, but I do think the one car parking rule on a street for a house that supposedly accommodates 8 people is less than ideal and a constant plumbing system noise that was not explained and we experienced, but wasn’t as upsetting as stated in a past in review should be fixed and/or explained with full disclosure in the rental agreement. It is a whooshing sound that we suspect it is a sump pump noise that pumps the gray water to a septic, or even a sewer system that is at street level. But why does one have to speculate? Surely the owners and Vacasa know what the source of the sound is. Again would not let this discourage you from staying here, just providing helpful disclosure.

Where Is Whidbey Island?

Our Whidbey Island vacation rentals are idyllic in location, situated on the northern-most boundary of the Puget Sound, nestled between the Olympic Peninsula, Camano Island, and Seattle just 30 miles north.

The 55-mile island is comprised of five communities - Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Greenbank, Freeland, Langley, and Clinton. Claimed to house Puget Sound's largest artist colony, the region supports a mixture of both art galleries and outdoor recreation.

Things to Do on Whidbey Island

Saltwater coastlines and old-growth forests await you during your stay in a Whidbey Island cabin rental. Try your hand at sailing at Oak Harbor Marina or kayak into sea lion waters along the Cascadia Marine Trail. Fish for salmon at Bush Point or dig for clams at Dave Mackie Park.

Book a whale watching tour in search of majestic gray whales or hike into three freshwater lakes at Deception Pass State Park. Deception Pass itself offers striking views and photo opportunities from a seemingly mile-high bridge over cliffs and islands. Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve is a lovely destination, too, combining history and pastoral beauty with dramatic bluffs that stretch into the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Day Trips from Whidbey Island

Take the ferry to Port Angeles to pick fragrant bushels at the Washington Lavender Farm or make the trek to Port Ludlow to travel by kayak through Ludlow Bay and into San Juan Islands territory. Port Townsent is a hop, skip, and a jump away (by boat and car), boasting gorgeous Victorian buildings and shopping districts.

This unique coastal region is the inspiration of countless artisans - from painters to poets - and is sure to ignite your next great escape with passion and raw beauty. Book one of our Whidbey Island rentals for your next Pacific Northwest getaway.
