Recent Shelter Cove vacation rental reviews

This home gave my family the feeling of living a Spiritual Retreat the peaceful secluded area, surrounded by redwood trees, green all around you. The kids really enjoyed spending time sitting on the balcony overlooking the wildlife grazing in the front yard. Herds of deer throughout the neighborhood, foxes at night pleasure to see. This was a great Family bonding experience, enjoying the sound of the nearby ocean waves which is located within 5 minutes walking distance down hill. This home had all the necessary amenities fully furnished. WiFi, Heater, washer and dryer. All kitchen appliances and necessities. All you need to worry is getting your own groceries and nothing else. House has a very comfy feeling. Enough space much bigger than I imagined. Family board games, and even a PlayStation game console with VR headset which the kids enjoyed. Truly recommend this home to anyone wishing to visit this area. Will not regret it.

Our stay at the Boat House was absolutly lovely. This prperty has one of the best views in Shelter Cove, from the yard you can see all the way to the horizon and way down the coast towards Fort Bragg, truly stunning. The boathouse is charming and cozy with all the ammnaties one might need plus extras like games and a game table area, an incredible theatre room for movie night and a balcony for morning coffee as you watch the sunset. The owner/property manager was very helpfull and welcoming, I would highly reccomend choosing the Boat House when you visit beautiuful Shelter Cove.

Our stay at this charming ocean-view house was truly magical! The property is well maintained, with thoughtful details throughout that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The house exudes warm, cozy charm, with tasteful decor that perfectly frames the stunning ocean views. The kitchen was fully equipped, spotless, and inviting, making it a joy to use. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, and we especially appreciated the large TV downstairs for evening entertainment and the foosball table for some fun family moments. We savored morning coffees on the deck, often accompanied by deer and foxes wandering by, and the sunsets were breathtaking. Nestled in nature, the house offers unparalleled tranquility, with nearby hiking trails and easy trips to the beach or ocean. If you’re seeking a serene retreat with spectacular views and natural beauty, this is the perfect place. We’re already looking forward to returning!

This resort town is home to an airport for easy access, and its coastal location means you’ll be surrounded by beaches that are perfect for the adventurous spirit. Shelter Cove Beach is great for boaters and fishermen, while Dead Man’s Beach is a popular surfing spot in spring and fall. A visit to Black Sands Beach is a must, where the name says it all: an unforgettable shoreline made of strikingly black rocks, where the waves put on a fierce display.

For a more family-friendly day at the beach, head to Seal Rock Picnic Area, located just minutes from our Shelter Cove vacation rentals. It’s a great spot for wildlife watching for sea lions and harbor seals. Gray whales may even make an appearance near shore as they’re migrating in January and February or April and May. Cape Mendocino Lighthouse is just a mile south, while golfers will love the great access to nearby Shelter Cove Golf Links.

Escape the hecticness of everyday life and explore the beauty of the Redwood Coast. Our Shelter Cove vacation rentals are just the place—book your visit today.
