Recent Quintana Roo vacation rental reviews

TLDR: it was a fantastic stay. If a relaxing getaway is what you’re going for with family / friends, this is solid. It’s a short hike into town, but given the houses vibes we only went into town once for dinner. I’m a firm believer that the house doesn’t make the stay; it allows you to focus your time on your friends and family. Lots of memories created and I’m grateful. Pros: - location was insane. Semi private road leading in with a guard; pool and beach on property. Beach is literally 40 paces from the back door. The views are the vibe. - house is MUCH larger than the 1700 sq feet advertised. Each room is gigantic and has a private bathroom. - wind from the ocean kept the mosquitos away. Only got bit while having drinks in downtown tulum. - pizza oven and grill (charcoal) in backyard allowed us to grill. - staff kept fresh water filled. We were able to be communicated with over WhatsApp. - pool depth was shallow; great for kids. Shallowest end came up to my knees, deeper end was probably around 5 ft deep. Temperature was “refreshing”. Don’t expect a hot pool, but it was far from “freezing” that others claimed it was. Cons: - no bathtub. Only should care if you have young kids. - house was showing some wear. It’s an older property. - hot water would go in and out. Contacting the staff usually resolved the issue. - stove was a bit worn out and cooking vessels were not great. We ended up buying some more stuff like a sharper knife in town. Tips: - rent a car. Cabs will get expensive fast. Two covered parking spots. It’ll allow you to get to the grocery store in town (only 15 min) - cook outside if you can. Get charcoal at the grocery. - get the Sonos app if you don’t already. That way you can play Sonos radio inside. For outside, bring a speaker. - don’t expect to go crazy in the ocean depending on the time of year. Lots of seaweed on the beach and in the water. In the water, it’s more rocky than sandy. - the wifi is FAST and accessible throughout the house. Conclusion: I’m definitely more of a resorts guy but for the vacation we were trying to have with my family, this fit the bill. We were relaxed, we got family time, and the house facilitated this. We spent most of every day outside staring at the ocean and sitting in hammocks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an incredible stay at Las Olas in Playa del Carmen! The condo had everything I needed – it was clean, comfortable, private, and quiet. I really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and in-unit laundry, which made my stay feel just like home. I was able to cook, relax, and enjoy my time without any hassle. A huge shoutout to Isis Fernandez and the rest of the Vacasa team – they were absolutely amazing, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. I’ll definitely be back!
