I stayed at Puerto Arrecife with two kids by myself. At first I was a bit worried how this would work out.
We got a local number immediately in case of any problems, which we did not have at all in our 10 days.
The area is great: Chelem with markets and restaurants, Progreso, we made daytrips to cenotes, Celestun and Uxmal.
Most of the days ended in the pool area, which my kids loved a lot.

The condo is as advertised well maintained and appointed. Great beachcombing for shells. We visited Progresso & Merida multiple times, very few activities in the Telchac area. Great for just relaxing.

Rented this property for my elderly father and his family for their annual gathering of the 1940s club (as I call them since they were all born in the 1940s). They had a wonderful time. According to my father, the house was very spacious and absolutely beautiful. My father loved the convenience to the beaches of Chelem and Progreso, and it's less than an hour's drive from Merida. My father and family were greeted upon arrival by the host (Hever R., I believe), who showed them around the house and property. I really appreciated that because it gave me peace of mind that someone was nearby to respond to their needs. My father said the pool and deck area had fantastic views of the ocean, but with the beach nearby (not walking distance for my family but maybe for younger folks), they preferred the beach to the pool. Thank you to Hever and Vacasa for making my father's trip so memorable.
